“Here in Zandvoort, free practice was good, we were P9 in FP2 and just a few tenths would have taken us up to P3 so it was a really close grid. It was unfortunate during qualifying as it started to rain and I’m not as experienced in wet conditions. It cost my race weekend as I qualified at the back. In race one, the key was adapting to a damp track. I received a penalty for a false start and was out of the points, so it was about trying different things and lines ahead of the next race. Race two was better, we made up positions at the start. We finished P14 with close battles in a train towards P9. It was a tight race and I’m glad I was part of the pack fighting for position. Looking ahead, I need to work on my skills in wet conditions. I have simulator work coming up and it’ll be my first time driving the Marina Bay Circuit ahead of Singapore. Taking the good from this weekend, we were really fast in practice and unfortunately unlucky with the rain in qualifying.”

“The practice sessions went really well for me, I was consistently in the top four. I had good pace and it looked promising, however the weather here is unpredictable and unfortunately, we had a wet qualifying. I’m not so familiar with these conditions and struggled to find the pace again. I think I did the best I could using my knowledge, and qualified P9 and P8 in the changing conditions. I knew this track is difficult to overtake on, so it was key to get good starts. I was a bit cautious in race one as it was only two hours before race two after it was rescheduled, and I didn’t want to compromise the car. Race two is where I got bolder with my overtakes to get ahead. I think P8 to P4 is a really good result. I made one of the most overtakes in the race, which I’m really happy about it. Overall, it’s unfortunate as I thought more was possible here going into the weekend, but I’m happy we were able to maximise the results and I’m looking forward to Singapore.”

“My first practice stints on Friday were okay, I was P8 and P7, so the pace looked good in the dry. We went into qualifying and it started to rain. I qualified P15 which was a bit disappointing at my home race. After race one was postponed on Saturday due to the rain, it was dry for both races on Sunday. I knew I had the pace in the dry, but overtaking here is hard and I finished P13 in race two. However, it was great to experience my first Dutch GP with Red Bull. The fans were amazing and thanks to the Orange Army for their support. Next week, I’ll be on the sim in Milton Keynes to prepare for Singapore already, and I hope to have a better weekend and score some points there.”
