Suzuka Race Review
Roundthreeofthe2025FIAFormulaOneWorldChampionshiphasconcluded.
The Suzuka International Circuit is a driver-favourite track and one Liam and Isack were familiar with as they prepared to navigate the FORMULA 1 LENOVO JAPANESE GRAND PRIX 2025.
Prior to the race weekend taking place, we saw all four Red Bull drivers take to the streets of Tokyo in an historic moment and world first, where Liam, Isack, Max and Yuki participated in the largest Red Bull Showrun in Japan’s history, driving F1 cars from the Team's Heritage collection.

The Red Bull Showrun, powered by Honda, saw over 12,000 fans packing the streets as Liam and Isack jumped into an RB7 with VCARB livery. Fun fact, Isack drove the very same car Sebastian Vettel took to glory in 2011.

Track action got underway on Friday. Isack was eighth fastest in Free Practice 1, +0.676 seconds off the fastest time of 1:28.549 set by Norris, and Liam sat 13th overall, +0.987 seconds adrift of the McLaren. In Free Practice 2, Isack and Liam set impressive lap times and finished 3rd and 5th, respectively, to the fastest time of Piastri – a 1:28.114.

Liam finished P15 in Q1 and made it to Q2 for the first time this season – Isack was two positions ahead. Liam’s best Q2 lap was good enough for P13 and Isack advanced to Q3 for the second time this season. Verstappen set a new lap record, achieving a 1:26.983 and Isack qualified P7, only +0.586 seconds off pole.
Overnight rain left the track slightly damp for Race Day. On the race start, Liam lost a position to Tsunoda and held P14. Isack maintained his starting position until Hamilton made an overtake on lap six, demoting Isack to P8.
Liam lost a position to Sainz after the pit stops were completed and finished the race in P17. Isack brought his VCARB 02 home in P8 and scored his first points of the season. At the front, Verstappen won ahead of Norris and Piastri.
